Breaking Ground at Samara: A Milestone for Fraser Rise

The LandxWise team is excited to share a major milestone in the journey of Samara—the official Turning of the Sod.

On a bright morning, before the summer heat settled in, we gathered with our project partners Austar, SBC, and Colliers, alongside key team members and investors, to celebrate this important occasion. The moment marked the beginning of construction and the first step toward delivering a vibrant, well-connected community in Fraser Rise.

Samara represents more than just a new development—it’s a carefully planned vision coming to life. Designed to foster a thriving neighbourhood, this project will set a new benchmark for modern, sustainable living. From green spaces to community amenities, every element has been thoughtfully considered to create a place where residents can truly feel at home.

As part of the celebration, and in keeping with a time-honoured tradition, whisky bottles were ceremoniously buried on-site. When the project reaches completion, they’ll be unearthed and enjoyed—a fitting way to mark the journey from groundbreaking to a fully realized community.

We’re looking forward to the exciting road ahead as we bring Samara to life. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to shape the future of Fraser Rise.

New Year, New Milestones

New Year, New Milestones

In February 2024, Paynes Road, a major arterial road at the front of Thornhill Gardens residential subdivision, was closed to traffic to allow for major upgrades and associated works.

Throughout the year, our dedicated team has worked tirelessly to deliver key infrastructure for the growing Thornhill Park and Rockbank communities. The works involved not only an upgrade of the road itself, but also the delivery of the following key infrastructure:

  •  An 8-meter-deep branch sewer

  • 6-meter-deep drainage works

  • Trunk water services

  • Gas, electrical and telecommunications infrastructure under the railway crossing via boring

We are proud to announce that Paynes Road will officially reopen to residents and the public by 31 December.

Thank you to our entire team, consultants and contractors for their unwavering efforts to deliver this significant milestone.

On Friday, 15 November the LandxWise team took part in the The Batra Group and Aagaman Restaurant annual ‘Langar Seva’ in Port Melbourne to serve free vegetarian meals and drinks in celebration of Sikh Guru – Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday.

We were thrilled to roll up our sleeves and join in their mission of selfless giving. It was a heartwarming day, filled with smiles, delicious food, and the joy of giving back – all blessed by beautiful weather.

LandxWise driving positive change in the community.

It was great to see our directors, AJ Batra and Akash Ahluwalia, featured in The Age yesterday, calling for better response times from Melbourne Water and other authorities to ensure there is a timely delivery of housing and community infrastructure.

Whilst we acknowledge that the response times have improved in recent months, it is important that this continues to progress, to allow the state to achieve the housing targets set in the new Plan for Victoria.

Our focus remains on driving positive change in the community and look forward to seeing further constructive improvements as we work towards delivering our pipeline of over 2,000 homes in the north-west of Melbourne.
